DJ Avicii: Who Is Tim Bergling And Why Is He Featured On Google?

Tim Bergling known by his stage mane, Avicii was a Swedish DJ, remixer, record producer, musician and songwriter. He was born on September 8, 1989, in Stockholm, Sweden.

Avicii started mixing in his bedroom at the age of eight. He started making music at the age of 16. In May 2007, Bergling signed on with the Dejfitts Plays label. He was a member of the Laidback Luke Forums, where he refined his craft and at times, demonstrated his distinct deep house style.

In July 2014, Bergling released his single, Lay Me Down. He also produced and collaborated with Chris Martin from Coldplay, co-writing and co-producing the track, A Sky Full of Stars from the band’s sixth studio album, Ghost Stories, released on May 19, 2014.

The Google doodle of Bergling has been used to pay tribute to the DJ on what would have been their 32nd birthday. Winans told Google that they “wanted to find a way to both touch on the realities of that experience, while still celebrating and honoring his life in a way that fit the lyrics and tone of the track”.
