Girija was a Kashmiri Hindu Pandit who fled the valley and worked in the Kashmir valley as a laboratory.

In June 1990, she received a call from someone stating about the communal separatist movement and that she could return to collect her wage dues.

She was promised that she would be safe returning home and that the area had been made safer.

Girija left the valley, collected her salary from the school, and went to see her Muslim colleague.

Jehadists tracked her down and kidnapped Girija from her colleague’s home.

Yasin Malik was in charge of the group that committed the crimes against Girija Tickoo.

Sidhi Raina, her niece, wrote a touching Instagram post about how her family is still waiting for justice and urged everyone to see the film.

She stated that the video depicts the terrifying nights that her family and every Kashmiri Pandit family experienced.

According to Sidhi’s Instagram post, “My father’s sister, Girija Tickoo, was a university librarian who had gone to collect her paycheck; on her way back, the bus she was in was halted, and what occurred next still gives me shivers, tears, and nausea.”

Additionally, she wrote, “My bua was then placed into a taxi with five men (one of whom was her coworker), who tortured, raped, and brutally murdered her by cutting her alive.”

Raina stated that she had never heard anyone discuss the incident in her family.

Girija’s body was discovered on the side of the road in the terrible condition a few days after she was kidnapped.

Her autopsy proved she had been gang-raped and tortured to death.
