Is Carolyn Warmus Still In Jail? Has She Had Face Stroke aka Bell’s Palsy?

Is Carolyn Warmus Still In Jail?

No, Carolyn Warmus is not still in jail as she was recently released from prison on parole on 2019.

The former school teacher was convicted of her crime after the body of Betty Jeane was found by her husband Paul Solomon in their house in Greensburgh; the victim was reportedly pistol-whipped in the head and was shot nine times in her legs and back.

The initial suspect for the crime was the victim’s husband, as he was having an intimate affair with the school teacher. However, the investigation later revealed that shortly before the murder, Warmus reportedly got a 0.25 caliber Beretta pistol and silencer.

After the investigation, the school teacher was the prime suspect in the murder & was subjected to a trial in 1991. The trial lasted for around three months and was finally declared a hung jury with 8-4 in favor of conviction. The case was declared mistrial by the judge on April 27, 1991.

The second trial started in January 1992. The jury debated for six days before finding the defendant guilty of second-degree murder and unlawful possession of a weapon. The major turning point for her to be convicted was a bloody cashmere glove Warmus was found by the victim’s husband.

Though the defense argued that Solomon found the glove between the first and second trial, it is quite suspicious. However, the judge overlooked the defense’s point and allowed the glove to stand as evidence of the case. On May 27, 1992, the teacher was finally convicted.

After conviction, she spent 27 years in jail before getting released on June 17, 2019. She spent her prison time in Bedford Hills Correctional Facility of Women in Westchester County, New York. Before her release in 2019, she also previously appealed for parole in 2017 but was denied.

Carolyn Warmus She Had to Face Stroke aka Bell’s Palsy?

Despite the rumors, Carolyn Warmus hasn’t had a Face Stroke, aka Bell’s Palsy.

No definitive reports prove that the convicted former school teacher had a face stroke, and her face is completely fine. However, she reportedly had brain tumor surgery back in 2018. According to the reports, though the tumor was growing continuously, it was not malignant.

She has opened up about her sickness during her time in jail and mentioned that the surgery had caused vision problems. She expressed how badly it affected her mental health.

Despite being convicted, the school teacher never accepted her crime and always stated that she was innocent. She also asked for the DNA testing of the glove that stood as a shred of evidence in 2017. However, the DNA testing was never done for the glove or for any other evidence.
