Max Irons wife Sophie Pera is a creative fashion director at Tatler publishing company. Sophie and Max got married in 2019.

Irons gained recognition after appearing in the film Red Riding Hood as Henry. He is also known for playing the lead role in the television series Condor. His other acting credits include The Riot Club, The Wife Crooked House, The White Queen, and The Runaway.

Apart from being an actor, he is also a model and has worked with fashion brands such as Mango and Burberry. 

Talking about his dating life, the Condor star dated actress Emily Browning for a year from May 2011 to August 2012. After the split, he was known to be in a relationship with Saoirse Ronan.

Max Irons wife Sophie Pera has worked as a fashion director in Tatler for four years. Pera began her career as an assistant to editor-in-chief Anna Wintour at the American Vogue.

 Later, she was appointed as an associate fashion director in the company. In order to broaden her career experience she left Vogue and joined Town & Country as a senior fashion director.

Sophie then became a freelance stylist and consultant both in New York and London. She has worked with well-known people from the industry including Alexandra Kotur, Phyllis Posnick, Steven Klien, and Annie Leibovitz.

Pera studied philosophy at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. She has been in the industry for over ten decades. 

The Couple Had A Lavish Wedding Ceremony

Max Irons married his long-term girlfriend Sophie on November 30, 2019. Max Irons wedding was a candlelit winter ceremony in his hometown Oxfordshire.

The couple had originally planned to elope but their plan changed and they opted for a lavish ceremony. The dramatic part of the ceremony was the bride’s dress as she had worn a Vivienne Westwood off-shoulders gown. 

The bride picked Taffeta fabric for the dress, according to her it represents unabashed glamour. The gown was couture Peace Cocotte which is a classic Westwood shape. She accessorized the dress with antique diamond earrings from Humphrey Butler.

The bride arrived at the venue in a carriage and looked stunning like a princess from a fairytale. The groom also looked like a prince charming in his dark-colored two-piece suit.

 For the reception, the bride changed into her custom Alexandre Vauthier party dress.

Max Irons and Sophie Pera began their romantic relationship in 2013. The couple dated for six years before they exchanged their wedding vows; they have been together for nine years.

The pair have remained private about the details related to the beginning of their relationship. According to Pera’s Instagram, the couple is expecting their first child and the post hints that her due day is near.

His father Jeremy Irons is a famed English actor known for appearing in the television show Brideshead Revisited. Jeremy has received the triple crown of acting by winning an Emmy for television, an Oscar for film, and a Tony Award for theatre.

He is also known for appearing in several West End productions including Macbeth, The Taming of the Shrew, and The Winter’s Tale. Jeremy’s other acting credits include Notorious Woman, The Pallisers, Reversal of Fortune, and The House of the Spirits.

His mother Sinead Cusack is a well-known Irish actress known for her role in the British television series Oliver’s Travels. She acted in the film Waterland along with her husband. 

Sinead’s other acting credits include Hoffman, V for Vendetta, Play of the Month, Home Again, The Deep, and Marcella. 

Jeremy and Sinead tied the knot in 1978 and they have been wedded for 44 years.

Max’s Grandparents 

The actor’s maternal grandparents Maureen and Cyril Cusack were known for appearing in several theatre productions. 

Cyril has acted for over 60 productions for the Abbey Theatre during his career span. He has also acted in television shows and films such as Knocknagow, Odd Man Out, and Galileo. He has also been considered one of Ireland’s best thespians.

Sadly, he passed away in October 1993. 

Maureen was the main actress in Dublin’s Gate Theatre. She has appeared in the productions such as The Rising of the Moon, Wife to James Whelan, Katie Roche, and Arms and the Man. 

She took her last breath on December 18, 1977, at the age of 57.

Sophie Grew Up With Three Younger Sisters

Pera is the eldest child of her parents as she has three younger sisters Chloe, Caroline, and Olivia.

Caroline is an artist by profession and has been creating her artwork for 15 years. According to her LinkedIn profile, she completed her apprenticeship at Gem Palace in Jaipur, India. 

She has also worked as a studio assistant and press relations assistant at the Gregory Colbert Nomadic museum. Caroline completed her fine arts studies at Central Saint Martins in London and her works have been exhibited in New York, Milan, London, and Vienna.

According to Olivia’s LinkedIn profile, she works as an executive assistant at KKR. She completed her bachelor of arts degree in psychology with a minor in sociology from McGill University in 2013.

She also has experience in several industries including finance and B2C Marketing and Administration for Food/Beverage. 

Chloe is comparatively more private about her life than her sisters.
